Cancellation Policy

To secure a reservation, a 100% deposit is required.

Standard Cancellations

More than 30 days before arrival: a cancellation fee equal to one night’s stay applies (the balance is refunded to the original payment method).
30 days or fewer before arrival, shortened stays, or early check-outs: no refund is granted (but see options below for coverage)

We strongly recommend adding one or both Travel Protection options listed below.
If you choose not to add protection, you accept the risk of unexpected events.

Your choice, your consequence.
That is why we ask you to read, accept, and sign these conditions, which form a valid and binding contract for your stay.
We do not enter into discussions or negotiations about cancellations or refunds. Our goal is for every guest to have a pleasant experience, and that is why we give you clear options from the start — you decide how much protection you want. By booking, you agree to accept and honour your choice.

Travel Protection Options (administered by Worry-Free Bookings™)

Important: Worry-Free Bookings™ is not an insurance policy. It is a paid upgrade to our standard terms that can reimburse you when specific protected events occur. All reimbursements are processed directly by Worry-Free Bookings™, not by Caribou RV Park.

1) Illness, Injury, or Travel Delay Protection

When eligible, this protection can reimburse up to 100% of your booking value (minus the protection fee), with prorated refunds if you must leave early. You may apply up to 30 days after your departure date, provided documentation is supplied.

Examples of covered events and required proof include:

Illness or injury (including COVID-19): doctor’s note or positive test confirming it prevented attendance.
Death or funeral of an immediate family member: death certificate or obituary.
Flight disruption or public transport failure: ticket plus cancellation or delay notice.
Vehicle mechanical breakdown, fire, or theft en route: recovery invoice or police report.
Home emergency (fire, flood, theft, burglary): police or insurance report.
Military/emergency service recall or unexpected employer relocation: official letter.
Jury duty, court summons, or sudden exam date change: official summons or school notice.

Exclusions (abridged):
Events known or foreseeable before the eligible window; government shutdowns, acts of God, terrorism, wildfires or poor air quality, or weather not involving rain or snow; missed flights due to personal delay; lack of required documentation.
Maximum reimbursement: US $5,000 per booking (or per group).
The Travel Protection service fee is non-refundable.

How to claim:
Use the link in your reservation confirmation email to submit your application with supporting evidence. Claims are reviewed by Worry-Free Bookings™ within 1–2 business days.

2) Cancel-For-Any-Reason (CFAR) Protection

If purchased, this option allows you to cancel for any reason and receive a refund of 75% of your reservation total (minus the protection fee) when cancelled 14 days or fewer before your arrival date.
Submit your claim via the link in your confirmation email; all processing is handled by Worry-Free Bookings™.

Refunds Under Travel Protection

All Travel Protection reimbursements are managed solely by Worry-Free Bookings™.
Caribou RV Park does not evaluate or issue refunds for protected claims.

Plain-Language Summary

Our policy: After the 30-day mark, no refunds are issued by Caribou RV Park.
Your options: Add protection that can reimburse you if life gets in the way.
Your responsibility: Declining protection means you accept the full risk.
Your signature: Confirms that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms — forming a valid and binding contract between you and Caribou RV Park.

Site Assignment

We can switch sites at any time and without further notice except if a lock-fee was paid. In the unlikely event that we would have to switch a site for a guest having paid a lock-fee, this fee will be refunded.

Deposits & Payments

A 100 percent deposit is collected at the time of purchase
Payment for retail items and gift certificates is collected at the time of purchase

Children & Pets

Children are welcome with an accompanying adult
Children age 12 and under stay free
Pets are welcome
You are asked to strictly pick up after your pet. Pets must be kept on leash.

In the event of a pandemic, border closures, government shutdown or an uncontrollable event, vouchers will be issued instead of refunds.

We can switch sites at any time if needed and without further notice except if a lock-fee was paid.

Waiver and Campground Rules and Regulations are displayed at the information board and are handed out during check-in and absolutely need to be respected.
